Robert Rodriguez Interviews Quentin Tarantino!

Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez has interviewed his longtime friend and collaborator Quentin Tarantino for new episodes of Rodriguez’s show, El Rey Network Presents: The Director’s Chair

Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, who collaborated on the original “From Dusk Till Dawn” movie (which spawned an El Rey Network TV series) not to mention “Grindhouse,” sit down for an hour-long talk on the August 13th installment of “El Rey Network Presents: The Director’s Chair” (9 PM ET/PT).

Austin, Texas-based Rodriguez, the founder of new 24-hour English language El Rey Network, grilled his friend over two interviews. Volume 1 explores Tarantino’s film career through the lens of their 20-year friendship, including never-before-seen personal footage; they discuss everything from screenwriting and camera placement to Spaghetti Westerns and Kung Fu. Two clips are below.

“I started off as an actor and actually the only training I’ve ever done has been as an actor,” Tarantino tells Rodriguez. “I always knew that that would be one of my biggest strengths…dealing with actors, and writing the characters and getting the best of them and being able to talk actor talk.”

Part II airs on Wednesday, August 27 (9 PM ET/PT).
