Quentin Tarantino to Hand Out Honorary Cesar to Scarlett Johansson in Paris

PARIS — Quentin Tarantino, who considerably expanded his Gallic fan base since declaring “Cinema is my  religion and France is the Vatican” in October, will be delivering the honorary Cesar to Scarlett Johansson at the Feb. 28 awards ceremony in Paris.

Tarantino received the honorary Cesar in 2011. Johansson, meanwhile, will likely be the youngest recipient of this award, which has been given to such talent as Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep.

The 29-year-old star, who broke through with Sofia Coppola’s “Lost in Translation,” recently earned critical praises for her voice perf in Spike Jonze’s “Her.”

Johansson wrapped the shoot of Luc Besson’s actioner “Lucy” in December.

Last year, the Cesar nod went to Kevin Costner who was in Paris shooting Luc Besson-produced “3 Days to Kill.”
